A major enhancement to the CostFlex Hospital Decision Support System is the creation of a wholly owned subsidiary to solve two major healthcare problems – INTEROPERABILITY and CONTINUUM OF CARE.
The new company – The Professional Services Information System – uses smartphone and web based technologies to allow each patient to track medical encounters. It will also address patient value assessment and clinical follow-ups.
After a patient is discharged from your hospital, the CostFlex software will update the Professional Services Information System with the hospital and medical events that took place (HIPAA compliance is strictly observed).
Like all other events posted to the system, the patient must confirm these events from a smart phone or desktop computer or they will be invisible to anyone but the patient.
When the patient confirms the event, a satisfaction questionnaire is presented. Each questionnaire will have questions created by the provider. Each question can be answered by a thumbs-up, thumbs down, or by a number.
For example, overall satisfaction will always be asked. For certain procedures, a pain level or a range of motion will be answered by a number.
If the patient does not complete the questionnaire, the provider will be notified.
Follow-up questionnaires can be scheduled to be sent every “n” months.
